DIY Plastic Spoon Mirror

If you are planning a fall BBQ or party where guest will be using plastic spoons, this is the perfect project for you! After the BBQ, don't throw your dirty plastic spoons away. Put the used plastic spoons in your dish washer with your usual dishes and upcycle them into something one-of-a-kind.

What you will need:

  • Plastic spoons
  • A mirror (I bought mine at the craft store for $1)
  • Hot glue gun/glue
  • Foam core or some other stiff material
  • Scissors

Cut a circle out of foam core or cardboard. This will determine how large your mirror will turn out. You can also start cutting off the spoon handles.

Use hot glue to adhere the spoons around the foam core in rows.

Paint the adhered spoons. I used Chalk Paint, but spray paint will work too.

Now it's time to add the mirror!

I used 3 squares of foam core to prop up the mirror. I then adhered it with hot glue.

Enjoy!
