DIY Lemon and Flower Wreath

I absolutely ADORE my new wreath! I have been slowly revamping our front porch, starting by building some new planters from fence picket wood (check out my planter tutorial HERE). I then decided that our door needed a new summery wreath to go with our new planters. Follow the tutorial below to make your own lemon wreath!

What you will need:
  • Grapevine wreath
  • A few sprigs of faux flowers (I bought cherry blossom and forsythia blooms at Michaels)
  • Faux lemons - I bought two different sizes.
  • Hot glue gun/glue

I started out by laying the grapevine wreath on the floor and placing the lemons and flowers in different locations to see which way I liked better. I ended up going with an asymmetrical look (photo on the left).

Start by weaving in the flower sprigs.

Here is my curious cat, not helping.

Twist off the smaller pieces from the flower sprigs to make it easier to weave.

I bought a few different sizes of lemons but ended up only using the large and small sizes.

After all your flowers are woven into the grapevine wreath, you can start hot gluing on the lemons.

Try to glue in clusters of 3's and 5's. Do not evenly space out flowers and lemons, try to make it look more natural.

Let the glue dry and tie a ribbon to the back. Enjoy!!
